Be The Change; Your Time Has Come for a World Wide Wave of Action

What do Russell Brand, Eminem, Korn, Lincoln Park, Ice Cube and a Guy Fawkes mask have in common? They are a part of a the world wide ‘Wave of Action’ set up by Anonymous.

Anonymous surfaced in late 2010 and was labeled as a ‘hacker collective group’ by the government and the FBI but labeled themselves as an idea, an idea that believed we all deserve freedom – ‘Freedom of thought, of speech, of expression, of knowledge’.

This idea was promoted through a series of well-publicized publicity stunts and attacks on government, religious, and corporate websites. Anonymous played a role in exposing a number of corrupt corporations, fraud within governments and worked to expose over 50,000 pedophiles around the world.

Though the FBI believe they have taken down the groups core members. Others have validated that you can not take down a leaderless movement and perhaps they are right as now it seems a World Wide Wave of Action (#WWW) has taken up where Anonymous and the Occupy movement have left off.

world wide wave of action

On the 4th of April 2014 the 46th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, it is proposed a World Wide Wave of Action will begin and end 3 months later on July 4th 2014.

“We are calling on all Anons, nonAnons, collectives, organisations and conscious individuals to take autonomous, non-violent, direct action throughout the global spring (4th of April – 4th of July, 2014). For a sustained 3 month, cycle we will swarm corrupt targets and rally around solutions to the vast problems we are confronted by,” states the World Wide Wave of Action website.

As this ‘anonymous’ World Wide Wave of Action suggests they are calling on all citizens with a global conscience to create or participate in an event that protests an issue they are passionate about. World Wide Wave of Action suggests individuals take part in; mass gatherings, demonstrations, marches, flash mobs, swarms, the shutdown of harmful corporate and governmental operations, worker strikes, hunger strikes, debt strikes, boycotting corrupt corporations, moving your money out of the big banks and the stock market, using alternative currencies and economic systems, cancelling pay television and supporting independent media, using independent online tools that don’t sell your info and protect your privacy, leaking information on corruption, using alternative energy, joining local community organizations, starting or joining intentional and autonomous communities, experimenting with new governing systems, organizing socially conscious events, guerrilla postering, writing messages on money, help to inspire groups and organizations spread their message, random acts of kindness and compassion, mass meditations, prayer sessions and spiritual actions. Or any other form of non-violent tactics that will awaken a global a new global consciousness.

Wave of Action stand by cultural anthropologist and writer Margaret Mead’s statement; “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

Wave of Action repeatedly state that it only takes approximately 3% of the population to engage in non-violent forms of action to create significant change. With the help of some celebrities this is what they are aiming to do.
