World Environment Day – 5/6/11

There are many things you can do to support the World Environment Day. Walk to work, plant a tree, stop using plastic bags, organise a community cleanup, eductae someone – the possibilities are endless!
The United Nations of Australia promotes the World Environment Day through its World Environment Day Awards program. The World Environment Day celebration began in 1972 and has grown to become  a way for the  United Nations to  stimulate worldwide awareness of the environment and encourage political attention and action.
