Wait a while or perhaps a little longer in the Daintree. Once you meet this special place I’m sure you will be choosing the latter. Wait-a-While in the Daintree is a house placed perfectly on the Daintree Coast in Cape Tribulation and just 600m from the stunning Cow Bay Beach where reef meets rainforest. With the rolling hills of the Alexander ranges dipping straight into the crystal clear waters of Cow Bay, which is named after the Dugongs (Sea Cows) that come to feed in the area.
Designed by award-winning South African architect Gavin Paddock and modeled on the traditional New Guinean long house, with timber imported from southern Queensland, South Africa, Kashmir, New Guinea and the United States. This 500 metre square living space is solar powered and can comfortably accommodate up to 9 people. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs consisting of 2 king size beds and 2 king size singles plus a trundle pull out. Upstairs on the mezzanine level there is a queen bed.
The house includes a fully self-contained kitchen, satellite internet connection, satellite TV, swimming pool (to avoid the crocs) and a large outdoor entertainment and living area. The house is beautifully designed to bring the outdoors inside. If you have ever witnessed the Daintree Rainforest first hand you will know that it is home to some of the most spectacular vegetation and scenery that Australia has to offer.
