The Nightfall Wilderness Camp
It sounds like something out of a dream but let me tell you this place is real and it’s located just in our own backyard beside Lamington National Park near the Gold Coast and Brisbane, QLD.
Described as a Lost World paradise, Nightfall Wilderness Camp features crystal clear river rapids, subtropical and old growth rainforest; you wouldn’t be surprised to see Tinker Bell flutter by. Located right on the trinkling fresh streams and volcanic slopes of The Lost World in Brisbane’s Scenic Rim.
This luxury camping experience is available to only 6 travellers at a time, fully self contained luxury tents are available. These 62m2 tents have to be seen to be believed. All hand built they include wire-brushed recycled hardwood floors, open showers, hand basins carved from rock, a rotating fire and it’s own micro camp kitchen and BBQ.
Now if you don’t want to cook, not a problem! You can dine in and experience Nightfall Wilderness Camps fire cooked organic cuisine.
Choose from a swag on the deck or a beautiful king-size bed with the finest bedding to sleep in at night, all complete with a range of only the best organic toiletries.
Taking the spectacular settings of this protected subtropical old-growth rainforest into account, Nightfall Wilderness Camp is aiming to become a fully certified eco tourism destination, and is already a carbon neutral sustainable holiday destination. Aiming to enhance a lifestyle that treads gently, preserving and enhancing the ancient wilderness whilst sharing the Scenic Rims Lost world. Nightfall Wilderness Camp’s electricity is generated by a 5KW grid-connect solar-power system. Local bio-sequestration tree-plantings are planned to offset the camp’s residual carbon footprint. Conservation also extends to the progressive restoration and rehabilitation of damaged parts of the 257-acre site, as well as monitoring of Christmas Creek and protected species.
You can also forage for native food in the wild and learn about Nightfall Wilderness Camp’s environmental practices including on site waste water treatment and waste minimisation through reduction, re-use, recycling and recovery with composting.
Offering massive discounts on prices, the Nightfall Wilderness Camp is still only new and is offering a ‘Guinea-pig’ special until the 28th of February, 2015. The Guinea Pig offer is a way for the Nightfall Wilderness Camp to fine-tune their camp experience for their visitors. In order to be a part of this special all you have to do is enjoy your stay and provide your opinion and feedback during and after your stay.
