Green Roofs Australasia will present the sixth annual Greening Cities Conference, Melbourne, from 28th November to 1st December 2012. The conference is proudly supported by the City of Melbourne and The University of Melbourne and will be held at the Melbourne Law Function Centre.
The Greening Cities Conference themes have been chosen to reflect the diverse range of disciplines involved in the design, implementation and maintenance of green roofs and walls. At this year’s conference there will be a particular focus on the Australian experience, showcasing how international models of green roofs and walls have been adapted for Australian conditions. These findings will be demonstrated by case studies and research.
The Greening Cities Conference also aims to highlight studies that have quantified the benefits of green roofs and walls and how this new information could be used in policy and planning to promote their implementation.
At the 2012 conference there will be four acclaimed keynote speakers and sixteen leading national and New Zealand speakers. The speakers will focus on best practice in green infrastructure projects, and share the latest relevant research, policy and technology.
