We need to be aware of what we wear! Eco-Fashion that lasts, or fashion that is based on sustainable and ethical practices is the new black. Eco fashion way outlasts traditional fashion trends that are designed to last merely a season, maybe two.

Eco fashion uses natural fibres, organic where possible and always from sustainable sources. Fabrics that are derived from eco-friendly resources include sustainably grown fibre crops such as hemp and bamboo or even recycled materials.

Natural dyes and chemical free solutions are used for painting, printing and dying eco friendly fabrics. This creates less toxic waste and ultimately a healthier environment and purer garment, which is of course, as close to your skin as can be.

And then there’s old school vintage, retro and recycled fashion. Eco fashion is truly worn out and worn out good. Not just worn out a few times and discarded to landfill at the flick of a new fashion season. And really, who doesn’t love a pre-loved fashion find? They’re usually found for a fraction of the price…

Eco fashion is here to stay. If you think there’s an eco-driven fashion story or business we should know about, drop us a line. We would love to cover you!
